Quick rule
One-word adverbs go before the main verb but after 'be'. Longer phrases (every so often, twice a week) go at the start or end.
I occasionally work weekends, but not as a rule.
He's forever losing his keys.
We do a full review once every quarter.
Common mistake
✗ I go always to the gym. → ✓ I always go to the gym.
Short practice
Place the adverb: 'I (usually) work from home.' → I usually work from home.
