Comparison & Emphasis
Quick rule
-er / more … than, the -est / the most. Soften with slightly, a bit; strengthen with far, much, considerably, by far.
It's marginally better, but not worth the price difference.
This is considerably more reliable than the previous model.
The two are about the same, if anything the second is cleaner.
Common mistake
✗ It's more cheaper. → ✓ It's much cheaper.
Short practice
Soften: 'This one is better.' (slightly) → This one is slightly better.
